The Tweed Coast

Coastal ground
Ants nest happily in sandy soil and come up wherever there is a seam: paving joints, slab edges, the gap beside a path. Chasing the trail indoors achieves very little, so ants are treated inside, outside and in the lawn, at the nest rather than at the kitchen bench.
Behind the houses the dune scrub and the tea tree do the same job for spiders, and cupboards near the beach are reliable silverfish country. A general treatment takes cockroaches, spiders and ants together, inside and out, on a twelve month cycle.
Holiday lets and beach houses
A house that is shut up for three weeks is a quiet invitation, and a house that turns over every Saturday collects sand, salt and spills faster than a family home does. Both are easier to keep on top of with the carpets cleaned and a treatment on a set date each year.
The machine stays in the truck and recovers most of the water it puts down, so drying is measured in hours and nothing is left damp behind a closed-up beach house. Carpet cleaning, lounge cleaning, mattress cleaning, tile and grout cleaning, stain removal and leather cleaning are all on the same truck.
